HISTORY OF THE BREED

A Breed Standard is the guideline which describes the ideal characteristics, temperament and appearance of a breed and ensures that the breed is fit for function.

BREED STANDARD

A Breed Standard is the guideline which describes the ideal characteristics, temperament and appearance of a breed and ensures that the breed is fit for function.

CHOOSING A BORDER TERRIER

They are Terriers first and foremost. This means that you cannot have any other small pets such as hamsters, rabbits or guinea pigs as the Terrier will kill them. That is what they were originally bred for!

GOLDEN RULES WHEN LOOKING FOR A PUPPY

Research the breed of your choice, what are its good and bad points? Beware of a breeder who only tells you the good points about the breed; are they more interested in the money than your choice of breed is right for you?

HEALTH OF THE BREED

We would like to receive reports from all Border Terrier owners, even if your dog is generally healthy. This provides a better picture of health across the breed.
